Sandblasting box help please?
My fiance and I are trying to sandblast our monogram on mirrors to be our wedding centerpieces. We are having some problems with our Clarke sandblasting box. At first, the silicon carbide was coming out the side of the box, where there is an air vent with a filter, even though the lid was tightly secured. Then we hooked up a vacuum to the back of the box to see if that would help keep the dust from getting everywhere, but we only have one extension cord that is needed for the air compressor. We have been using the vacuum after we are finished with one of the mirrors before we open the box.
Does anyone have any tips on how to keep the dust from getting all over the place? We have family members that want to watch us sandblast, but I don't want them to breathe any silicon carbide dust.

dust is a part of blasting that you have to get used to,you need to remove as much air from the booth as you have going in.if you can get a good air flow the dust will go out and you will be able to see,others may have to wear dust mask if they want to watch..
